Give Jesus Christ a chance part two

The person of Jesus Christ never escapes us, does it? I mean, we drive pass so many Churches these days it is uncanny, and there are probably one or two in your community alone. We are more familiarly reminded of Jesus Christ in the words of the preacher every time we go to church. We may even be reminded of Jesus Christ by a friend who in the past, partied a lot, smoked and/or was engaged in all sorts of promiscuity but after seemingly having an encounter with God he/she has since changed his/her entire life. We are reminded of that other person, that professes and walks the Christian life, and they bring peace and calm wherever they go. Maybe it is your grandma that you know prays for you and she reminds you every now and again about Jesus. Her love is so different and every time you reflect on her, you think of her with grace. You may also have had the privilege of being stuck in a tight spot, you went on your knees, and prayed that rare prayer to the Lord, and he came through. So many people testify of Jesus Christ today, that he is real, he is God, and he died for our sins. They say he points to the true and living God. They may not get it correct in their actions and their words, but I want you to know, it is true my friend, it is all true, and there is much more. So much more that this account is all but a spec of all there is to the Son of Man, but I hope this piece steers you or guides you to the foot of the cross.
Jesus did not bring a religion to the world. In fact, religion, that is pure and is demanded of his followers entails, visiting the fatherless and the widows in their affliction and to keep separate from the world. Jesus Christ came to save us and set us free, and in doing so restore, the relationship man had with God in the beginning. Although important, he brought something else. He brought the message of the Kingdom. The kingdom of Heaven. He demonstrated the message everywhere he went, by healing the sick, performing miracles (raising the dead), in one testimony, one woman simply touched the hem of his garment and her hemorrhoid was completely dried up, healed. He demonstrated that where the kingdom is there is no sickness, pain, death, or disabilities. The kingdom principles he taught were simple; worship the Lord and serve him only, and love your neighbor as yourself. If we were to faithfully commit to the former, God in turn would ensure your purpose on earth is fulfilled for both you and your household. Your thoughts would change, your strength would be renewed, your path made straight, your family restored. You would have peace whenever challenges arise, for you have on your side a God who will walk with you through it all. The reputation of a king lies in the welfare of his people. The King of kings, Jesus Christ, for his namesake will ensure that his plans for peace and prosperity of his people comes to fruition.
We who have received Jesus Christ and have been grafted into the body of Christ have been tasked with spreading the kingdom to all nations. The kingdom includes the message of the cross. It denotes the Love God has for man and his desire from the very beginning, to restore that which was lost to us, communion. See, in the beginning God walked with man, we had fellowship with God, and through disobedience, we lost that and so much more. We gave ourselves into the hands of darkness, and we are witnessing this truth today. God who has all the power and could have chosen to wipe us all out and start all over. In his Love and mercy however, he set in motion a plan, to fully restore humanity, and this plan was fulfilled on the cross, through his only son. Jesus Christ took on the sins of the entire world, for all generations. The sins, which you and I committed and will commit throughout our life on earth. He was the perfect lamb, spotless, without sin, and so he was the only one qualified to make that transaction, to be the sacrifice for you and me. That sacrifice was completed when he gave up his life on the cross. It was through this act of love we now have the opportunity to be saved.
You see, that is why so many serve him so faithfully, despite being in the minority, being classed as weird, or by some sects branded as hateful. It is because we have seen the light; we have tried him and found him to be worthy. We have tasted, and we have seen that he is good. He has opened our eyes. It is because of this revelation of the truth many suffered and gave their lives willingly.
To receive this gift is easy to do, yet it is also easy to refuse. Choose the former for you eternal destiny hinge on this decision. In doing the former, you need to pray, confessing that you have sinned against a Holy God. Say from your heart, you apologies and from this day you repent of your sins. You believe in Jesus Christ and the work he did on the cross for your soul. Ask him to come into your heart and help you to live for him. Friend, even if you don’t believe all this, it does not make it less true, in fact it makes it true more than ever, for it is written, to some the message of the cross is foolishness, and to others the salvation of God. The decision you make puts you firmly into one of these categories. These are statements of facts, and so I implore you to give Jesus Christ a chance. Seek him while he may be found. I want you to make it in. I want you to receive your crown from the King. Give him the chance he deserves in your life, today.
